"Blessings To This Person" Pendant: Notes from the Artist

This design is heavily inspired by the powerful blessings of Nature. I have always felt at home out in nature. I grew up in a house in the Michigan woods, and some of my most joyful memories are exploring those small woods -- collecting acorns; looking at patterns in winter ice; seeing how many different kinds of tree-leaves I could find; marveling at the golden-shiny buttercups and gloriously-white trilliums.

Even today, when I want to feel more grounded, I will go out to the forest, or sit on a rock by the creek, and stay there for hours, until my heart and my spirit are once again at peace. And if I want a *real* boost of energy, I'll recite a snippet of a poem inspired by St. Patrick's Lorica protection prayer, that brings together the forces of nature around me.

So, this pendant is a big deal to me. I love knowing that blessings are all around us, at all times. The air we breathe, the food we eat, the land that literally supports us, and all the beauty around us -- All of Nature is just an incredible blessing.

I deliberately crafted the components within this design so you can look at it through a tapestry of ways, whichever resonates the best with you:

• Land - Sea - Sky: the traditional Celtic realms
• Earth - Air - Fire - Water: the classical elements
• Sun - Moon - Stars - Earth: the music of the spheres that resonates in the soul

I chose Labradorite to pair with this piece. And for this current batch, the stones are just absolutely amazing. There are some soft greens, some multi-colors, and some really incredible oranges, that almost seem to flash along multiple planes and from all directions. Just stunning stuff in this opening batch. You're gonna love them.
