The "Clarity To This Person" Pendant: Notes from the Artist

This pendant, I will confess, is the one I'm wearing lately, non-stop.

So, Clarity. What's that all about? It may not be the most asked-for intention, I will admit. HOWEVER, for me, it's near the top of the list.

Why? Because it is infinitely versatile. Clarity of purpose, clarity of your work, clarity of intention, clarity of vision, clarity of focus: No matter what it is that you are working on, it's clarity that will help you get there. And this pendant helps remind you, and helps bring you back to what is most important.

The design, then, was easy for me to decide: The Sun. I've crafted a solar design with the free-hand flow of hand-drawn flames, for the fire of action and energy. I've arranged them in an 8-fold pattern to represent the cycle of the sun through our year, the solstices and equinoxes and cross-quarter days.

The sun design is backed by rays of light for pure sunshine, daylight, to illuminate and make clear what must be illuminated. This design represents the clear open sky of a sunny day, full of infinite possibilities.

The sun is often used as a symbol of success, and that meaning is here as well. With the power of sunlight, you have clarity to see the best path. And with the sun of success, you have the strength of will to see it through.

I chose golden Rutilated Quartz for this piece. Rutilated quartz is one of my favorite stones, to be honest. When I saw that cabochons were available, I snapped them up. The golden beams of rutile in the crystal-clear quartz are the perfect match for this design. They're like pure beams of powerful focus and intention to help keep you on track. You don't see tons of necklaces with rutilated quartz, so it makes these gorgeous pendants even more special.
