Ted had been known as a wise man and teacher for some time, but he really became nationally prominent in the early Nineties. Micki's driving determination, as you know, was to give people something to hold onto to encourage and nurture their spirit. She and Ted connected to create the Animal-Speak Charms. It was a process and project completely unlike anything Deva Designs had ever done before - or since!

Each one features a different animal, which was sculpted then cast in close collaboration with Ted - each animal's specific pose, attitude, and actions have layers of meaning in them. On the reverse are the sentiments drawn from Ted's work with the animal spirits. Everything had to look and feel right for both Ted & Micki for production to move forward. It took time, but it was time well spent. And the joy they had working together! -- two creative minds determined to help as many people as they could.
