My First Ever Workshop Report

On Authenticity, Connection, & Choosing to Flourish As We Are
I know this isn't the most technically perfect picture, but waking up early and seeing the full moon at dawn last full moon was just so spectacular that I had to share it with you. And that's the energy I'd like to explore with you, in my very first ever Workshop Report - the idea that it is more important to be authentically YOU than it is to be perfect.
This is hard for us business owners. We're taught that every little thing we do must be flawlessly perfect, lest our customers go running at even the slightest deviation from how big business does it. But big business is hardly treating our treasured communities with kindness. And I don't think it's helping any of us to emulate them.
When we aim for "perfection", we can end up overshooting into fake glossy-ness, rather than being who we are, at heart. When we try too hard, we can end up feeling awkward or stilted. And that can lead to doubting what we're doing. And then you're not doing anybody any favors. Including yourself.
And on the other hand --
When we can feel ourselves being rooted in love, in connection, in understanding, and in community, then our efforts will flow and flourish.
There's definitely a balancing act involved. We want to be professional, but we also want to be real, authentic, friendly, and approachable. Nobody opens a crystal shop because they think it's an easy way to make a million dollars. We do this because, in one way or another, we're committed to making the world a more beautiful and magical place.
And sometimes magic is messy. Sometimes there's not a nameless corporation in charge, just real human beings doing the best they can. Sometimes displays fall over, the dusting doesn't happen, or an entire day goes by when you meant to update the website but didn't - but you were able to be there, to be present and real with the people you encounter, to see and hear and connect with them. What matters the most? The real connection.
Here at the workshop, we've just released the Dragon Pendulums. And pendulums in general are a gateway to connection. They're the first divination tool many people experiment with. Getting that rush that comes with working with your intuition, with letting yourself actually listen to yourself - again, not always perfect, sometimes a little messy, but a very authentic, real experience that suggests that the magic in the universe is yours to explore.
So that's exciting, and also exciting is finally getting settled into our new place. Moving to Colorado has brought us so much joy. I also have to admit to a huge sense of relief now that the move is done, boxes are (mostly!) unpacked, and our things are where they seem to want to be. We're feeling a rush of creative energy that's been subdued for some time and finding the best real, meaningful ways to bring lots of ideas to life -- at last!
Thank you for being on this journey with us. We couldn't do it without you.
Blessings to you, your family, & your communities,
-Suzie
