Workshop Report -- The Inner Flame that Always Shines: Reflecting Yourself Back To Yourself

My redbud tree is about ready for blossoming. And I was on track to not even notice it.

Sometimes I get so caught up in filling up my days with the un-ending to-do lists, to the absence of any moment to reflect. That's when I always remember what a counselor way back suggested to me: Reflect Yourself Back To Yourself

That concentrated task-focus I'm talking about is not just doing things that need to be done. It feels beyond that, like I'm trying to prevent myself from even thinking or reflecting at all. With all that's going on, ... okay, maybe understandable.

However, the excessive task-focus trick does not work forever. It can lead to feelings of alienation from who I really am. And when we're in that mode, it's hard to connect with others, feel grounded, and feel like "yourself".

So from time to time, I'm checking in with myself -- with love and compassion, that part's important! -- to who I am inside.

How can you reflect yourself, back to yourself? For me it can mean spending time all by myself, in a 'puttering' mode, doing things for myself that make me feel good. (Which, honestly, sounds like I mean 'luxury spa bath' or something, and it can definitely mean that for you! tho in fact I often mean 'dust the shelf right next to me that is subconsciously driving me nutso'.) I also take the time to write down things I'm grateful for, by hand on paper. Other days, I go for a drive by myself, choosing the route as I go. Or I re-arrange my room or my desk, to refresh my surroundings with what's most meaningful to me. (As opposed to reflexively making decisions based on what's 'normal', or 'commonly done', or someone else's 'aesthetic'.)

By tapping into your own intuition, and your own mind, body, and spirit, you are also connecting with the inner flame of your own AWESOMNESS that always shines forth.

When we can feel warmth and love toward our own being, we can meet challenges with our natural inner strength.

If you're reading this, I have a lot of real love for you. Yes, you, as you are, right now. And I'm so happy when I think about the many, many people like you, with love, and compassion, and open-heartedness. The world is better for having you in it.

This month at the workshop: My Protection project will be released in April - Woohoo! The pieces are in production, and I'm choosing displays and signage, and the whole project is SO BEAUTIFUL.

And so much gratitude for all the support of our other new projects so far this year: the New Pendulums Collection  -- Why are pendulums selling so much? Not sure, but we'll take it! -- and the limited-edition Clovers cuteness for Springtime.

With love,
-Suzie
