This beautiful new design celebrates inspiration in all its forms. This stunning reversible piece features the Triple Spiral on one side, and the 'Awen' symbol of inspiration on the reverse.
The Awen symbol represents inspiration, the flow of spirit, and wisdom. Its name comes from the word awen meaning inspiration in several Celtic languagues - Welsh, Cornish, & Breton. The symbol shows three points of light, each of which has a ray of light flowing outward. It is said to be the symbol of creative spark and insight of druids, bards, and all those who do creative work of any kind.
The Triple Spiral is an ancient pre-Celtic symbol for connection, protection, and flow. It is also referred to as the triskele, triskell, or triskelion. One of the most famous Triple Spirals in architecture is the 5,000 year old carving in the Newgrange Passage Tomb in Ireland.
